Last May 14 was held in the district of Manatuto, a meeting with East Timorese medical students and Cuban collaborators that work in that location to update the case of our Five Heroes and demand her release.

 On May 13 began with a meeting of fraternity in the district of Covalima, the National Journey for Freedom of the Five Heroes Prisoners of the Empire in Timor Leste which will run until late June. The meeting was updated and presented the reality of the case and biographical information of our Five Heroes. This Workshop is being conducted by members of the Cuban Medical Brigade and Timorese medical students.

 The President of the Democratic Republic of Timor Leste Dr Jose Ramos Horta, awarded the "Medal of Merit" Ambassador of Cuba in this nation, Mr. Luis Julian Laffitte Rodriguez in a ceremony in the Main Hall of the Government Palace where they were also awarded accredited ambassadors and other public officials Government and the Presidency.

 A group of 20 collaborators that start their health care cooperative efforts under the collaboration agreement signed in this matter between the Government of Cuba and Timor-Leste, were received at the Embassy in the afternoon.

 The Ambassador of the United Mexican States to Timor Leste and Indonesia, resident in the latter country, Her Excellency Ms. Melba Pria, paid a courtesy call to his Cuban counterpart Luis Rodriguez Julian Laffitte at the headquarters of the Diplomatic Mission of Cuba in during a visit of work done to Timor. The distinguished visitor was accompanied by Mr. Ivanildo Quirino do Nascimento, Honorary Consul's brother Latin American country in Timor Leste.
