Since 12 years ago, Gerardo Hernández, Ramón Labañino, Antonio Guerrero, Fernando González and René González have been serving unfair and cruel sanctions in the federal prisons in the United Sates of America. They were charged with espionage conspiracy, despite of the fact that their actions were never directed at the U.S. government; they never harmed anyone nor possessed any weapons.

Tanzanian Government urged to cut down on illiteracy

Tanzania, March 2, 2010. - The government has been urged to go back to the principles set by the Father of the Nation, Mwalimu Julius Nyerere to fight against increasing illiteracy in the country. The Acting Director of the Institute of Adult Education, Mr Edward Lugakingira told the 'Daily News' in Dar es Salaam today that it was shameful for illiteracy rate to reach 30 per cent now when Mwalimu contained it at less than 10 per cent in 1980s.

Cuba assures health professional support to be continued in Tanzania
