Doha, 26/02/2012. Al Arab. The Cuban Ambassador Armando Vergara Bueno, welcomed the celebration of the Doha International Conference for the Defence of Jerusalem and expressed his country's support to all decisions that may result from this conference, particularly those that reinforce the invariant positions of consider that Jerusalem East is an inseparable part of the occupied Palestinian state since 1967.
HE. Cuban Ambassador declared to Al Arab, that Cuba supports without hesitation the steps taken in the UN General Assembly to obtain the proclamation of a Palestinian state as a member of the UN and its recognition as an independent state, because is its legitimate right to self-determination and the achievement of independence, which is a cause of justice for the Palestinian people.
He added that there is no reason to justify a delay in the answer of this Palestinian, Arab and international demand, emphasizing that the issue of settlements is an obstacle on the road to find a solution to this cause, including the actions of Judaizing Jerusalem and delete all Arab and Islamic heritage in the holy city.
The Cuban Ambassador declared the absolute refusal of Cuba to the process of colonization carried out by Israel making which make more difficult the path of seeking the appropiate climate to continue the process of negotiations to achieve peace and reach an agreement that provides the inalienable rights of Palestinian people.
