Press Release.UN criticizes the use of information and communication technologies in breach of International Law.
New York, 12 May.- The Committee on Information of the United Nations adopted by consensus a resolution demanding UN Member States to refrain from using information and communication technologies in breach of international law and the Charter of the United Nations.
The decision was adopted few weeks after the international media informed about new subversive programmes of the Government of the United States against Cuba, using social networks, specifically a platform based in Twitter: Zunzuneo.
Cuba has denounced that the new aggressions are aimed at creating destabilizing situations in the country in order to provoke changes in our political order, for which U.S. authorities continue to allocate multimillionaire budgets every year.
The international community has strongly rejected these new actions against Cuba, particularly, the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States; Members thereof adopted a Communiqué on this regard last April 29, 2014.
