In Malaysia it was thanked for the international solidarity with the cause of the Cuban Five.

Malaysia, 18th, February - They call me Cuba was the documentary that was selected by the Embassy of the Greatest of The Antilles in Malaysia to pay tribute for the international solidarity with the cause of the Cuban Five, while at the same time it became homage to the 40th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between these two states.
The event was chaired by the Cuban ambassador Rubén Pérez Valdés and by Christiana Tharsis, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Asiatic country.
The opening remark was given by Yanila Reyes Paret, Third Secretary of the Cuban Embassy in Malaysia, who noted that "since last December 17th returned to Cuba Gerardo Hernández, Ramón Labañino and Antonio Guerrero; three of the five Cuban heroes who were unjustly condemned by the US government to fight against terrorism. Their return was a longstanding battle. They were 16 years battling tirelessly to get this victory, which is not only a result of the Cuban people. It could succeed, especially for international solidarity with Cuba ".
Special recognition was given to NGO Just International and to its Chairman, the Malaysian prominent intellectual, Professor Dr. Chandra Muzaffar for their contribution to this noble and just cause.
They call me Cuba is part of this history of struggles and efforts for the return of the Cuban Five to their homeland. It is about the solidarity of almost 70 Cuban artists who worked hard to produce an album to break the news blackout imposed by the US on the world known as the Cuban Five. The production of the album and the documentary itself, reflect the sentiment of the Cuban people not to allow endure this injustice against Gerardo, Fernando, René, Antonio and Ramón.
It participated in the screening of the film, principals of Malaysian universities, officials from the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, journalists, members of the association Friends of Cuba, diplomats and Cubans that are residing in Kuala Lumpur.
