Pictures of Fidel and Mahatir in commemoration of 40 years of diplomatic relations between Cuba and Malaysia.

Malaysia, February 16th - The University Kebangsaan Malaysia was the place of the exhibition of photographs to commemorate the 40anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Cuba and Malaysia.
The snapshots make a route by the different interchanges from high level that were maintained between both countries, since the opening of the Cuban embassy in Kuala Lumpur, 1997 and the Malaysian diplomatic office in Havana, in 2001.
The encounters between the leader of the Cuban Revolution, Commander-in-Chief, Fidel Castro and fourth Prime Minister of Malaysia, Tun Dr. Mahatir bin Mohamad was the outstanding point of the exhibition.
Tun Dr. Mahatir, along with the Cuban ambassador in Malaysia, Rubén Perez and the Vice chancellor of the University, Prof. Datuk Dr. Noor Azlan Ghazali inaugurated the event.
Also was present the director of the Multimedia University of Malaysia and wife of the Tun Dr. Mahatir, Tun Dra. Siti Hasmah Mohamad Ali.
Academics, officials of the government, professors, journalists, students, friends of Cuba and Cuban residents in Kuala Lumpur, had the opportunity to enjoy, through photos, about the history of the bilateral relations between the Asian country and the Greater one of the Antilles.
