Malaysia and Cuba advocate for the strength of bilateral relations

 Kuala Lumpur, February 21st - The Deputy Secretary General (Deputy Minister) in charge of bilateral relations of the Malaysian Foreign Ministry Shahrul Ikram Yaakob Dato Muhammad, received the Ambassador Carlos Miguel Pereira, Director General of Organization, Planning, Information and Analysis of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Cuba.

During the meeting, both sides discussed about the current state of bilateral relations and agreed on the need to increase economic and trade links at the same level policies from the opportunities that today offers the Cuban economy, in sectors like biotechnology, agriculture, renewable energy as well as from the historical and friendly ties between the two countries.

As part of this visit, the Cuban official has held several meetings with Malaysian authorities and offered an exclusive interview to the national news agency, BERNAMA.
