Kuala Lumpur, March 4th - The Ambassador of Cuba to Malaysia, Ibete Fernandez, paid a courtesy call to Chief Minister of the state of Malacca, Datuk Ser Ir. Hj Idris Hj Haron Bin and congratulated him the work done by the government of the city to preserve it, mainly its historical center.
Meanwhile Malacca chief minister invited the ambassador of Cuba to create a space in one of the galleries of the city to be devoted dedicated to spreading Cuban culture and customs as a way to expand cultural exchanges with Malaysia.
Malacca City was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in July 2008. In this state several cultures merge from Chinese influence, Indian, Portuguese, Dutch and British who lived with the Malaysian indigenous population during periods of settlement and colonization of the state.
