Cuban Ambassador visits the National University of Malaysia

 Kuala Lumpur, February15- The Cuban Ambassador to Malaysia, Ibete Fernández, visited the National University of Malaysia (UKM) where she was received by the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Datuk Dr. Noor Azlan Ghazali.

At the meeting the ambassador was informed about the research projects carried out by the center of high studies in the fields of science and politics and Dr. Noor Azlan expressed the interest of establishing relations of cooperation with Cuban educational institutions.

The Ambassador offered an explanation on the Cuban education system and expressed Cuba's willingness to promote academic exchanges within the framework of South-South cooperation.
 
The National University of Malaysia, known in Bahasa as Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) was founded in 1970 and has 13 faculties for the study of arts and sciences. It is recognized as one of the four research universities in Malaysia for the achievements in this field for many decades.
