In a single evening, the little colony of Cuban residents in Kuwait met yesterday, Sunday 13 May at their Embassy, where they sent a warmest congratulation to all Cuban mothers, especially those of the Five Heroes who in this special day suffer for the unjust imprisonment of their dear children.

OLEK CELEBRATE ITS XX ANNIVERSARY WITH A SAMPLE OF LATIN AMERICAN CULTURE

On Friday May 11, the Organization of Latin - American in Kuwait (OLEK) celebrated its twentieth anniversary at the Hotel Crown Plaza of this city, with its annual Folk Festival. The festival featured folk dances of Argentina, Colombia, Cuba, Mexico, Nicaragua, Spain and Venezuela. Dancers, dressed in allegorical costumes of their respective countries took position on the dais where they offered a colorful show through their choreography. Attending the festival was present the Cuban Ambassador to Kuwait, Manuel Pardiñas Ajeno. As shown in the photo, the Cuban Ambassador cutting the cake of the commemoration.

On the occasion of International Women's Day, the group of female employees at the Embassy of Cuba in Kuwait, along with Cuban women residents gathered to not to overlook the one hundred and two years ago that the German fighter Clara Zetkin propose this date, to be remembered by the world as International Women's Day, for their struggle to assert their rights, to live without discrimination and on equal terms with men.
