Indonesia, 1st May 2016. Today was made the launching of the English edition of the book "The Reality of the impossible: The Public health care in Cuba" in which text you will find an analysis of the evolution of the Public health care system in our country. The event was attended by members of the Association of Friendship with Cuba, the Cuban Ambassador Nirsia Castro Guevara and health professionals.
The content of the book, written in the early 90's, contains a brief historical overview of the techniques used by aborigines and conquerors to heal the sick in colonial times, the development of the wide public health system in our country and the role played by medical cooperation in the relationship between Indonesia and Cuba, among other aspects of interest. In the words of its editor, Professor Dr. Samsuridjal Djauzi, this book is an invaluable reference for experts and observers interested in the process by which the Government of Cuba has achieved its goals in the development of health and education.
During the activity the Cuban Ambassador stressed the importance the Government has given to the above two areas, whose results have become two of the major achievements of the Revolution. She also thanked Dr. Samsuridjal, who also chairs the Association of Friendship with Cuba, and members of the Association for the support they have given to our country and its efforts to develop collaboration between the two peoples.
