Cuba promotes key products of Biotechnology in Indonesia

Indonesia, February 3rd, 2016. From the 1st to the 3rd of February 2016, Dra. Dora García Delgado, an official of the Center for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology in Cuba (CIGB), paid a visit to Indonesia to promote the commercialization of Cuban products leaders in this sphere.

The route of the Cuban Dra. also included Spain, the Philippines and Singapore before arriving to Jakarta, and the main purpose was to promote the Heberpot P, a novel and unique medicine prescribed for the treatment of diabetic foot ulcer. The use of this Cuban medicine has had a major impact since its inception in 1999 both at home and internationally, marketed in countries as Venezuela, Argentina, Colombia and Uruguay and also has attracted interest from others like India and China in the Asian region.

During the exchanges in Jakarta, business opportunities were identified with companies both public and private. These positive results could benefit the trade between the two countries in the field of biotechnology and genetic engineering, and to support the care and treatment of people suffering from diabetic foot ulcer in this country. (Cubaminrex / Embacuba Indonesia)
