Indonesia, Jakarta January 20, 2016. The Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia, Mr. AM Fachir received this afternoon the Ambassador of Cuba, Nirsia Castro Guevara at the headquarters of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. During the meeting both sides spoke of the cordial relations between the two countries. They discussed the opportunities to strengthen bilateral relations in areas as health, agriculture and sports, taking advantage of the existence of agreements signed or in negotiation process in these sectors.
Cuba and Indonesia established diplomatic relations in January 1960 and over the years have developed ties in different areas and maintained a fluid and sustained level of mutual support within international organizations. (Cubaminrex-EMBACUBAINDONESIA)
