Sports exchange between Cuba and Indonesia is reinforced. Pan American champion Cuba trains in Indonesia.

Jakarta March 16 2015. The Cuban badminton champion, Oslenis Guerrero Velazco, who displaced all his opponents and won the gold medal at the Pan American Games held last October 2014, visited Indonesia and has finished for training aimed to guarantee his presentation at the XVI International Badminton Tournament La Giraldilla, to be held in Havana from 25 to 29 March 2015. The Cuban delegation has pinned his hopes on the good performance of Oslenis to get a medal, that´s why Velazo Guerrero plays an intensive training program in this South Asian country, in Semarang, Central Java Province. Sports exchanges between Cuba and Indonesia have had a positive development from the signing in Jakarta, of the Memorandum of Understanding between the Cuban Institute of Sports, Physical Education and Recreation and the Indonesian Ministry of Youth and Sport, in May 2013. Through this important agreement is also expected to send to Cuban training camps the Indonesian National Boxing team in the second quarter of this year. Previously the Cuban experience was decisive in this discipline, which enabled Indonesia to obtain 8 medals, 4 silver and bronze similar numbers in the last Asian Games in Myanmar. Embassy of Cuba
