Cuban Ambassador call on the Indonesian Minister of Agriculture.Return
Jakarta May 25, 2015. The Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Indonesia Dr. Ir. Amram A. Sulaiman, MP received at the headquarters of the ministry in the capital, the Cuban Ambassador Enna Viant V. who addressed the advances experienced in bilateral relations leading to the signature of the MoU in March this year and the successful Cuban help in the fight against dengue fever. The framework was conducive to give Dr Sulaiman personal delivery of the invitation letter for an official visit to Cuba, which was appreciated and welcomed commenting about how important, is for Indonesia the Cuban experience accumulated since both share similar objectives and challenges. For his part, Minister explained the priorities in the agricultural sector and huge and intensive short-term plans to achieve production of basic crops such as soybeans, rice and the important base of popular feed corn. The meeting was attended by the Special Adviser and the head of the assistants to the ministry who confirmed the positive relationships and support by the Cuban Embassy aimed to strengthen relations of cooperation between both countries.
