Signed MoU on agricultural cooperation between Cuba and Indonesia.
Jakarta 19 March 2015. At the headquarters of the Indonesian Ministry of Agriculture in Jakarta, was signed a Memorandum of Understanding between the Secretary of that ministry Mr. Hari Priyono and Ambassador Enna Viant V., representing the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Cuba.
Mr. Priyono emphasized the new phase of work that opens between the two institutions following the signing of this legal instrument, noting the priorities of work aimed at improving the welfare of farmers and the development of small agricultural industries; reach the state of food sovereignty and make agriculture the engine of national economic growth.
Meanwhile the Cuban diplomat highlighted the mutually beneficial cooperation that existed between Indonesia and Cuba, exponents of the South - South cooperation and ensured that the Memorandum be a decisive push towards the strategic goal of both countries to achieve security food, deepen and expand exchanges in this important sector.
Numerous print media, online and local television were present and positively reproduced this important step taken by two friendly countries celebrating this year the 55th anniversary of establishment of diplomatic relations.
