FILIPINAS, September 10, 2011. As part of the activities they’ve done during September, several of which were part of the campaign for releasing of our five heroes, members of the Association of Friendship and Solidarity with Cuba "Amistad" and the Committee of Pro-liberation of the Five Heroes, held a fruitful and productive meeting with the Cuban Ambassador to Manila, Juan Carlos Arencibia Corrales, which had the possibility to exchange and receive updated news on the status of our five compatriots unjustly imprisoned in the United States, the application the blockade and the continuation of subversive and destabilizing actions against our country.

As part of this meeting, was broadcasted and promoted a discussion of the film "Will the Real Terrorist Please Stand Up" by Saul Landau, showing many examples of terrorist actions perpetrated against Cuba for over 50 year by terrorist groups and counter-revolutionary organizations based in the United States, under the full support and protection of the U.S. authorities.

On the occasion of this important meeting, the Cuban Ambassador delivered to the participants a briefing on the situation in Cuba, updating its economic model and the process of implementing the agreements of the recent Sixth Congress of the Cuban Communist Party.
