Havana, April 5, 2021.- On Monday afternoon, the General Director in charge of the Office of United States Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Carlos Fernández de Cossío, summoned the United States Charge d'Affaires, Timothy Zúñiga-Brown, to whom he conveyed the rejection of the misleading and politicized allegations that the 2020 State Department report on Human Rights published regarding Cuba.

New measures related to International Health Control and isolation of travelers

Taking into account the national, regional and international epidemiological situation and the need to apply new measures to contain the spread of COVID-19 cases in the country, it has been decided to make a further reduction to the current frequencies of flights of the airlines that operate from the United States, Mexico, Panama, Bahamas, and the Dominican Republic, which are joined by Jamaica and Colombia, starting at 00 hours on February 6, 2021.

Foreign investment, an essential contribution to Cuba's development

Havana, Sep 17 (Prensa Latina) The incentive to direct foreign investment is an essential aspect in Cuba's socioeconomic strategy for development, amid the global crisis and the United States blockade.

A document published recently in Cuba refers to the key sectors where foreign capital is most needed.  One of them is food production, where the Cuban Government seeks to speed up the management, implementation and execution of investment to increase production of chicken, pork, cattle, and the agri-industry of fruits and vegetables.

Cuba reports 57 new cases of COVID-19

Havana, September 17 , 2020.- The National Director of Epidemiology, Dr. Francisco Duran Garcia said Cuba diagnosed 57 new cases of Covid-19 over the last 24 hours, bringing to 4933 the number of people who have contracted the disease on the island.

Addressing the daily media update on the disease on Thursday, Duran said 56 patients were Cuban, and almost all of them were confirmed case contacts who had already been hospitalized at the moment of testing positive.

Ciego de Avila and Havana remain the most affected provinces, with 35 and 27 cases respectively.
