Egypt celebrated another victory against the Blockade to Cuba

Together with the members of the State Mission and the Association of Cuban Residents also participated Heads of Mission accredited ALBA countries in Egypt (Venezuela, Bolivia, Nicaragua and Ecuador) and Board members of the Friendship Association Egypt -Cuba.

Participants were able to witness live the emotional speech of our Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez Parrilla and vibrant to speakers from 5 continents, including Egypt, who raised his voice to condemn the blockade against Cuba. The climax of the evening was the voting process that yielded the historic result of 188 votes in favor of the Cuban resolution against the blockade, which was filed by twenty-first straight time.

Egyptian Minister of Education receives Cuban Ambassador

Cairo . - Mr. Ibrahim Ahmed Ghoneim Deif, new Minister of Education in Egypt, received today at the headquarters of the Ministry, the Cuban Ambassador Otto Vaillant Frias.

Both sides referred to the historical relations between Cuba and Egypt and the leading role of both countries in the Non-Aligned Movement, one of whose founders was the Egyptian leader Gamal Abdel Nasser.
The Minister acknowledged Cuba's advances in education and its valuable contribution to other peoples of the world, especially in Latin America, have taken an important step forward in the fight against illiteracy. (Embacuba Egypt)

Ambassador of Cuba in Egypt denounces U.S. criminal blockade against his country

The diplomat noted that Cuba will present for the twenty first time, on 13 November, the Cuban resolution entitled "Necessity of ending the economic, commercial and financial embargo imposed by the United States of America against Cuba". Vaillant stressed that decision has been the most supported in the United Nations history, when in 2010 a total of 187 countries voted in favor of lifting the unjust blockade imposed on the island.

The Cuban representative said that under President Barack Obama has strengthened the extraterritoriality of the blockade and harassment of Cuba's financial transactions with third countries and pointed to the fine of $ 619 million imposed by the Dutch bank ING operations with the Greater Antilles.
