The III National Meeting of Cuban Residents was celebrated in Egypt

Cairo. The Association of Cuban Residents in Egypt held in this capital the III National Meeting of Cuban Residents with representatives of the Cuban community in the country and members of the Cuban diplomatic mission in Cairo.

The event was the appropriate framework to analyze and discuss various topics of interest and new immigration regulations adopted by Cuba and the implementation of internally changes to update our economic model and make it more efficient for the benefit of the Cuban people.
The president of the Association of Cuban Residents, Victor Barbier, presented a report of activities for 2012, which included the commemoration of historical dates, birthdays conducting collective and solidarity actions with our five heroes.

Cuban President sends message of condolences to his Egyptian counterpart

The President of the Councils of State and Ministers, Army General Raul Castro Ruz sent a message of condolences to his Egyptian counterpart Mohamed Mursi, following the tragic accident at yesterday morning in the city of Manfalut, in the southern province of Assiut, about 350 kilometers from Cairo.

Cuba Ambassador thanked Egypt´s support to Cuban resolution against the blockade

The representation of Egypt supported firmly and courageously to Cuba in the United Nations, where once again an overwhelming majority of 188 countries voted in favor of lifting the economic blockade imposed on the island, only three countries voted against the resolution, United States, Israel and Palau, and two abstained, Marshall Islands and Micronesia, reports MENA.

Likewise, the Cuban diplomat added that Egypt was one of the 186 countries that voted in favor of the draft resolution last year, saying that Egypt's vote in favor of Cuba is the result of the historic ties of friendship and cooperation between the two countries.

Egypt urges U.S. to lift the embargo against Cuba

The request was made by Ahmadein Mootaz Khalil, Permanent Representative of Egypt to the United Nations in his speech before the General Assembly of the United Nations in a session devoted to the vote of the Cuban resolution entitled "Necessity of ending the economic , commercial and financial embargo imposed by the United States against Cuba. "

"For over 50 years, an unwarranted, unjust and unilateral blockade has been imposed by the United States of America against Cuba, the embargo is an anachronism from a bygone era." Khalil said.
The Egyptian representative reiterated the need to lift the blockade and its extraterritorial effects that violate the sovereignty of many Member States of the United Nations. (Embacuba Egypt)

Egypt celebrated another victory against the Blockade to Cuba

Together with the members of the State Mission and the Association of Cuban Residents also participated Heads of Mission accredited ALBA countries in Egypt (Venezuela, Bolivia, Nicaragua and Ecuador) and Board members of the Friendship Association Egypt -Cuba.

Participants were able to witness live the emotional speech of our Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez Parrilla and vibrant to speakers from 5 continents, including Egypt, who raised his voice to condemn the blockade against Cuba. The climax of the evening was the voting process that yielded the historic result of 188 votes in favor of the Cuban resolution against the blockade, which was filed by twenty-first straight time.
