WASHINGTON, January 18, 2017- This Wednesday afternoon, a Treaty on the Delimitation of the Continental Shelf in the Eastern Polygon of the Gulf of Mexico beyond 200 nautical miles was signed in the headquarters of the US Department of State, in Washington D.C. On behalf of Cuba, H.E. José Ramón Cabañas Rodríguez, Ambassador of Cuba to the United States signed the treaty while Mari Carmen Aponte, Senior Advisor on Western Hemisphere Affairs in the Department of State signed for the United States.
CUBA, January 18, 2017.- This Wednesday, January 18, an “Agreement between the government of the Republic of Cuba and the government of the United States of America on Aeronautical and Maritime Search and Rescue” was signed by the Deputy Minister of Transportation, Marta Oramas Rivero, and the Chargé d’ Affaires a.i. of the US Embassy in Havana, Jeffrey DeLaurentis.

CUBA, January 16, 2017. – Representatives from Cuba and the United States held the fourth bilateral meeting on trafficking in persons on January 12-13, in Washington D.C.
The U.S. Treasury Department has imposed fines on the nonprofit organization Alliance for Responsible Cuba Policy and the Canadian bank Toronto Dominion (TD), for $10,000 and $955,750, respectively.
