Ottawa, May 21.-In the framework of the 8th National Meeting of Cuban Residents in Canada, held last May 16 in Sherbrooke, officials of the Cuban Diplomatic Mission in Canada, led by their Ambassador, Julio Garmendia Peña, and accompanied by a group of Cuban residents in that country, held a meeting with gardeners Yunieski Gurriel and Alexei Bell, pitcher Ismel Jimenez and shortstop Yordan Manduley, four Cuban players recently hired by the independent league team in Canada, Quebec Capitales, before an exhibition game held with a local team.

Consul General of Cuba holds meeting with Cuban Solidarity in Windsor.

Windsor, May 8, 2015. As every year, the Cuba Canada Friendship Association - Windsor, Ontario, (CCFA-Windsor) celebrated the Day of Solidarity with Cuba as part of the "Mayworks Windsor" festival which was attended by its members and the general public.
The Consul General of Cuba in Toronto, Javier Dómokos Ruiz, gave an update to the attendees about the changes that are taking place on the island as part of the updating of the economic model and commented on the main issues arising from the new dynamics in the relations between Cuba and the United States. Following his presentation, there was a lively exchange of questions and answers.
