UN General Assembly Votes for ending the US Blockade on Cuba

New York, October 28, 2014. Condemnation of blockade is nearly unanimous at global body.

Today the General Assembly of the United Nations once again voted overwhelmingly in favor of ending the blockade of Cuba by the United States. 188 countries voted in favor of the resolution and 3 abstentions, with only the United States and Israel voting against it.

Botswana Foreign Minister Receives Cuban Ambassador in a courtesy call

Botswana, October 20, 2014. The Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Republic of Botswana, Honorable Phandu T.C. Skelemani, received today a courtesy call paid by the Cuban Ambassador, H.E. Juan Carlos Arencibia Corrales, who held a lively and fluid exchange in which they reviewed the good state of bilateral relations existing between both governments, while there were addressed other aspects and views of common interests, including some issues in regard with the current international situation.
