Took place working meetings for updating the Cuban sports cooperation in Botswana

Botswana, 16 September 2014 As part of the ongoing negotiations to update the Cuban sports cooperation in Botswana, the staff of the Cuban State Mission in the African country held several meetings with the authorities of the National Sports Council (BNSC, for its acronym in English), under which they were presented the new proposed agreement between the institution and the Cubadeportes S.A enterprise, that from now on forward will lead the sports cooperation between the two countries.

Botswana Delegation from the Ministry of Health started a useful working visit to Cuba

 Botswana September 13th 2014. The Botswana official delegation to conduct a working visit to Cuba was dismissed at the Botswana International Airport by the Cuban Ambassador, H.E. Juan Carlos Arencibia Corrales, accompanied by Dr. Maria Octavina Rodriguez Roque, National Coordinator of the Cuban Medical Brigade in the country.

As part of the international campaign for the release of the Cuban 5 Heroes imprisoned in the US jails, took place this afternoon in Botswana the round table, trough which were initiated activities planned to take place in the country to express solidarity and support while denouncing the unjust imprisonment of our citizens and to sue the United States government for their immediate and unconditional release and return to the motherland.

Ambassador of Cuba holds meeting with the delegation of the Botswana Ministry of Health.

 Botswana, September 8, 2014. The Cuban Ambassador to Botswana, H.E. Juan Carlos Arencibia Corrales, met with the official delegation of the Ministry of Health of Botswana to travel on official business in the coming days to Havana, with the main purposes of selection of the remaining group of Cuban health professionals who will soon be submitted in the country as part of the completion of the intergovernmental Memorandum of Understanding signed in 2012.

They were held fruitful exchanges with civil cooperants and the counterpart, who were provided with detailed information on the situation in our country, the fighting against blockade and the latest development of the international campaign for the release of our five heroes, as well as other topics of interest regarding to the international situation and other important matters.

Arrived in Cuba new Medicine carrier scholars from Botswana

Botswana, August 29, 2014 The three Batswana students who were awarded scholarships to study medicine in the Latin American School for Medicine (ELAM) for the academic year 2014-2015 arrived in Havana this week, where they were received by officials and authorities of the prestigious international higher education center of the Cuban capital city, which host several thousand scholars from Latin America and the Caribbean, Africa, Asia and other regions.

Made a visit to the referral hospital and meeting with Cuban collaborators in the district of Francistown

Mr. Juan Carlos Arencibia Corrales and his accompanying delegation held a working meeting with health officials and toured the facilities of the reference hospital Nyangawe where members of the Cuban Medical Brigade in the town render their services.
