Cuba and Saudi Arabia analyze the bilateral cooperation in the field of health.

Riyadh, August 24, 2016 – The Minister of Health of Saudi Arabia, H.E. Dr. Tawfiq Al-Rabiah, and the Ambassador of Cuba, Enrique Enriquez, analyzed the current and prospective state of relations of bilateral cooperation in the field of health, during a meeting held in this capital to mark the end of mission of the Cuban diplomat.

In a cordial and friendly atmosphere, the head of Saudi health recognized the high professional level of Cuban doctors; while the Cuban diplomat reiterated the provision of his government to continue working toward strengthening bilateral ties.

Nowadays there are working in Saudi Arabia 224 Cuban health professionals, under ministerial cooperation agreement signed in November 2013.

Saudi Minister of Foreign Affairs farewell to the Ambassador of Cuba.

Riyadh, August 15, 2016 - The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, H.E. Mr. Adel bin Ahmed Al-Jubeir, received at the headquarters of the Ministry to the Cuban Ambassador Enrique Enriquez, who will conclude soon his duties in this Arab nation.

During the meeting both sides agreed to highlight the positive current level of ties between their two countries and expressed the willingness of their governments to continue advancing bilateral cooperation. The Saudi foreign minister wished future successes to the Ambassador Enriquez and asked to send greetings to his Cuban counterpart.

The Secretary General of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf receives the Ambassador of Cuba.

Riyadh, August 11th, 2016 - The Secretary General of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf (GCC), H.E Dr. Abdul Latif bin Rashed Al Zayani received at the headquarters of that organization to the Cuban Ambassador to Saudi Arabia, H.E. Mr. Enrique Enriquez, to whom grateful for his efforts in favour of the development of the relations between the CCG and Cuba, and he wished successes in the fulfillment of his future functions, after concluding soon his mission as Ambassador to several Gulf States.

The Cuban diplomat expressed his satisfaction for the level of the bilateral links between Cuba and the members states of the CCG, distinguishing the advances in the political spheres, culturally, health and from economic cooperation. During the meeting, both diplomats exchanged views on the possibilities of cooperation between the GCC and Cuba, and other issues of mutual interest.

The Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf, created on May 25, 1981 , is an regional organization integrated by Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates , which has as objectives the coordination and integration in all fields between Member States. In January, 2014, the General Secretary of the CCG paid a visit to Havana to take part as special guest in the Second Summit of the Community of Latin-American and Caribbean States (CELAC).

Cuba attends to the Annual Investment meeting in Dubai.

United Arab Emirates, April 12th, 2016- Cuban First Deputy Minister of Foreign Trade and Foreign Investment (MINCEX), H.E. Mr. Antonio Carricarte Corona, heads the Cuban delegation attending to the sixth Edition of the Annual Investment Meeting (AIM), which takes place in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

During his presentation at the plenary session of the ministerial segment, the Deputy Minister emphasized the Cuban potential for the Foreign Direct Investment -main theme for this edition-, highlighted the legal framework and the positive business environment to attract foreign investors to the Island, and the priority sectors of the Cuban economy to where these investments should be addressed. In the debate, Mr. Carricarte commented how, despite the USA economic blockade, Cuban entrepreneurs have evaluated business opportunities in sectors such as biotechnology and health, where the State has made significant investments over several years.

AIM is organized by the Government of the United Arab Emirates, and in this edition are involved more than 140 nations, included government representatives, regional and international economic and financial organizations, academics, companies and specialized press media.

As part of this event, the Cuban First Deputy Minister and his accompanying delegation, made up by Mrs. Déborah Rivas, General Director of Foreign Investment from MINCEX, and H.E. Mr. Enrique Enriquez, Ambassador of Cuba, have held meetings with Emirati authorities and executives of major companies in Dubai, to review the progress of bilateral economic ties and the ways for its development.

Cuba exhibits advances in the International Health Expo in Oman.

Muscat, March 16, 2016 - From 13 to 15 March was held in Muscat the International Exhibition of Health and medical treatments, in which a large sample of products and services for different types of medical treatments were offered.

Cuba had a large stand where was exposed by the Agency Marisoll LLC. Health Tourism the progress made in the prevention and control of diseases, eye care services and treatment against diabetes and cancer, among others, being very high the quality and prestige of Cuban medicine.

This Exhibition is held annually in the Omani capital and has the participation of leading hospitals, health centers, clinics and pharmaceutical companies, seeking cutting-edge technology and innovative products to bring the highest quality and excellence to people.
