ACADEMIC MODALITIES
International courses on Sport Medicine are addressed to university level professionals, technicians and personnel linked to Physical Culture, Sports and Health as well as those interested in working in this field. The academic modalities offered are as follows:
- Residency in Sport Medicine to form specialists - Master’s degree in Sport Medicine for Physicians - Diploma courses - Internship - Courses for professionals and technicians - Extra murals practices - Workshops - Advice and guidance for obtaining scientific degree
GENERAL INFORMATION
- Official Language will be Spanish - Courses will be conducted by recognized professors from the Sports Medicine Institute (IMD) and the Havana Medical Sciences Higher Institute (ISCM-H) - The cost of the courses will only include the academic credit and has to be paid in CUC in cash. Participants in the courses will be responsible for their own expenses of air tickets, meals, transportation and migratory arrangements.
APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS
For Master’s degrees, diploma courses and internships, you are kindly requested to submit: - University degree certified by the country and the Cuban Embassy in the relevant country - Curriculum vitae - Three passport photos - Enrolment application form (at the end of the brochure)

- Accreditation of the academic level - Enrolment application form (at the end of the brochure) - For foreigners it is important to have all professional and technical accreditation documents submitted duly legalized by the Cuban Embassy or Consulate in their respective countries
ACADEMIC ACCREDITATION
Participants who fulfill all academic requirements will be awarded, at the end of the course, with a certificate endorsed by the Sports Medicine Institute and accredited by the Ministry of Public Health and the Ministry of Higher Education in required cases.
ACADEMIC PROCESS
- Teaching-learning process has a mainly active character, using practical activities in the IMD areas, Higher School for the Formation of High Performance Athletes of INDER and in the National Health Care Centers - Each convened activity has the duration in accordance with its objectives, topics and practices to be developed
